Hallo! I am Sophie Sadler, German native and Kansas City resident, and founder of the popular German food blog dirndl kitchen (est. 2015).
Figuring out authentic ways to recreate those German foods that you and I miss so much is my passion. I even have my first German cookbook coming out in 2025 (right around my 10 year blogging anniversary, which screams that it was meant to be!).
The German Connection was born because many of you struggled to make German food part of your everyday life. And that sounded like a mission I knew I wanted to be a part of.
What lights me up the most is when my members tell me how much watching my videos and making the recipes reminded them of Germany and helped them bridge the gap from wherever they are in the world.
